Weather Stations

The Pomeroy Conservation District has been fortunate enough to purchase multiple weather stations that have been distributed throughout Garfield County.

These weather stations assist producers with their daily operations by providing real-time data on:

  • Wind speed and direction for spraying applications.
  • Total rainfall, humidity, and temperature.

Program Funding and Installation:

  • This program is fully funded through the Washington State Conservation Commission using our Implementation Grant.
  • Once approved for a weather station (depending on internet service and location), the district will install the station, set up your WeatherLink account, and connect it to Weather Underground for data collection.

Community Benefits:

  • Producers can monitor local weather conditions to make informed decisions about spraying and other activities.
  • Community members can download the WeatherLink app to access data from any weather station in the area and track local weather trends.

If you would benefit from a weather station, please contact the Pomeroy Conservation District. Once a proposed location is identified, it will be presented to the Board of Supervisors for approval.
